The mission of this weblog is to teach those people who are not ChiTumbuka speakers located across the world, but have developed passion to learn this language. The idea of developing this weblog came up in early 2000 after noticing the ever growing demand to learn this language by Peace Corps volunteers, their families, Peace Corps staff, British VSOs, Canadian CUSOs, Missionaries, UN Volunteers, USAID and US Embassy staff, and other nationals not of Malawian origin living in Malawi.

- Born on 19th September, 1984 to Patricia and John Kennedy Kumwenda. A second born son in a family of seven children, three boys and four girls. He comes from Mutantha, Dorola village in the Traditional Authority Chindi, Mzimba District.

Shupi, uyu ni mwana waku Mzimba so his Tumbuka has a Ngoni and South African influence. Nihamba, nityonda all mean kuluta.Similary folks from Nkhamenya and Chisemphere will say niluta, baluta. The dynamics are changing..kubinga,,hunting well we ngonis will call it zingelo!

Mwana wakwithu apa kuyezgeska..ukole lulu. Kweni Chitumbuka chako nchaku Mzimba nadi ku Rumphi chaa, chifukwa "kuhamba","vingoma" etc ku Rumphi kulije. But for a start you are doing great just try to link up with others from Rumphi, the base of Tumbuka to come up with a more balanced Tumbuka, ok? Keep up young man.

It is correct mzimba Tumbuka. priestly remember that you find uniformity in Mzimba Tumbuka than heavy variants of chiphoka, chisisya, chiwenya, chilumba etc. In fact Rumphi Tumbuka is also heavily influenced. Gondwes, Nyirendas etc are Tumbuka
It is correct Mzimba Tumbuka. Priestly know that you find more uniformity in Mzimba Tumbuka than heavy variants of chiphoka, chisisya, chiWenya, etc though it carries Ngoni influence. In fact Rumphi is also heavily influenced. Gondwes, Nyirendas are not Tumbukas, they came from Tanzania in the Makonde and Kinga areas.
